I’m sitting on our deck at the Water’s Edge Inn, looking at boats bobbing in the harbor, as the sun sets on our last night here. It’s been a wonderful five days in Baddeck, highly due to having the luck to find this bit of heavenly lodging.
We stayed for three nights at the Waters Edge and were delighted with the room. the furnishings, the art on the walls, the fine linens, cleanliness and overall comfort. The Breakfast was more than a continental with waffles, fruit, cereals, good coffee and tea, and homemade breads, muffins, and fruit loaves.
My wife and I just returned from Nova Scotia and the highlight of our vacation was the Water’s Edge. We stayed for one week – using Baddeck as our Cape Breton Island home base. Our room (#5) was so comfortable – the balcony overlooking the lake and wharf was spectacular! Waking up and going to sleep with that view was amazing. The breakfast was perfect – and offered with a caring home-made touch.
The town of Baddeck and this Inn was a perfect stop for a good nights rest after driving around the Cabot Trail. The view was great, beds very comfortable, rooms were clean and spacious. The continental breakfast served in the morning was locally made and tasty. The location and staff were superb, I highly recommend.
Camilla welcomed us at check in, passed on information for a good choice of restaurant and presided over a delicious breakfast of homemade muffins, bread and waffles…While Nova Scotia is known for its friendliness and hospitality, The Water’s Edge epitomizes this in providing an experience for its guests that we think is unique.
